Six Flags Great Adventure joined water parks and swim schools across the country on Thursday for the 16th annual World’s Largest Swim Lesson.
The event is meant to build awareness about the importance of teaching kids to swim in an effort to prevent drowning.
"This event really is about getting everybody in water in an experience that's more relaxed, in an environment that's more relaxed with qualified and talented swim instructors,” says Ryan Eldredge, Six Flags public relations manager.
After the event, children and their families got to stay for a fun day at the amusement park.
