Long Branch police seized thousands of bags of heroin in what they say was the Jersey shore town's largest drug bust in 20 years.
Officials say 43-year-old Christopher "Choice" Schwartz of Paterson was arrested Aug. 24 after police recovered nearly 5,400 bags of heroin from his vehicle worth a street value of more than $40,000.
Police charged Schwartz with heroin and cocaine possession along with multiple distribution charges.
Officials say Long Branch police's Street Crimes Unit detectives stopped Schwartz's car as part of a drug investigation.
It's not known if he has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.
