Plum Point Park set to reopen following bridge fire, 2 juveniles charged with arson

Plum Point Park in New Windsor will soon reopen after an arson that badly damaged the bridge to get in.
County officials tell News 12 engineers found the span is safe at a reduced weight capacity until repairs can be made.
New Windsor police say a 12 and 15-year-old were arrested for arson and criminal mischief in September for allegedly setting fire to the bridge in August.
The popular park off Route 9W has been closed ever since.
County officials say it should reopen within a few days.
