A Pequannock teen used his summer to create a project for safety in his community and spread patriotism.
Matthew Scienski decided to build a flagpole in Foothills Park for an American Flag to fly.
The pole also shows a red flag under the U.S. flag to alert residents if the nearby police shooting range is being used.
Scienski took on the job to earn the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boys Scouts Association.
