A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross Route 1 South Monday evening.
Police say the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. on Route 1 South near the Popeyes and White Castle restaurants in South Brunswick. Investigators told News 12 the person was attempting to cross the median when the collision occurred.
Following the incident, police closed Route 1 South for several hours to conduct an investigation and process the scene.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
