Paterson is taking further steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Mayor Andrew Sayegh is ordering all non-essential businesses close by 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
The order also applies on Friday through Sunday by 12 a.m.
Masks must be work at all events and inside restaurants when not eating or drinking.
There will be no sitting at bars in restaurants or social clubs.
The protocols are effective until further notice.
