6ds agoThe Passaic Valley Water Commission will begin its annual hydrant flushing throughout its service area today, beginning with Paterson and Clifton.
Flushing will take place on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., weather permitting. As a result, customers may see discoloration in the water and are urged to run the tap until the water is clear.
Municipalities to be flushed include:
- Clifton
- Lodi
- North Arlington
- Passaic
- Paterson
- Prospect Park
- West Milford (High Crest and Post Brook sections)
The flushing project should be done by November. Customers can stay up to date on areas being flushed by visiting pvwc.com.
