Pandemic prompts William Paterson University to hold outdoor opera performance

William Paterson University students will perform a classic French opera outdoors in the plaza this spring because of the pandemic.
Assistant Professor of Music Christopher Herbert says an outdoor opera has its challenges.
"Number one, is amplification. You can't sing the same way you would inside, so everybody has mics. Our sound designer has been phenomenal, we have a smaller orchestra as well," Herbert explains.
Performances are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and all tickets must be bought in advance.
