Health officials: Passaic County resident diagnosed with measles
NJDOH says those who think they have been exposed or are feeling ill should contact their local health department or call their health care provide before going to a medical office or emergency department.

A Passaic County resident has been diagnosed with measles, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
According to a release on the DOH website, the resident recently traveled internationally. It is not related to recent cases reported in Hudson or Ocean Counties in July.
NJDOH says anyone who may have visited the Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains during the following date and time might have been exposed to measles:
Emergency Department between July 31 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 1 at 3:30 a.m.
Main Hospital, 5th Floor, Intensive Care Unit between 1:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 1.
NJDOH says those who think they have been exposed or are feeling ill should contact their local health department or call their health care provide before going to a medical office or emergency department.
Symptoms include a high fever, cough, runny nose and watery red eyes. A rash also appears three to five days after symptoms begin. Any potentially exposed individual could develop symptoms as late as August 24.
NJDOH says the state is not currently experiencing a measles outbreak, which is defined as three or more related cases.
