The FDNY says one resident was hospitalized after a fire broke out in a Morrisania apartment building.

Firefighters responded to 1285 Washington Ave. just after 11 p.m. Thursday.

Flames erupted on the sixth floor and were under control in just under 45 minutes.

EMS transported the resident to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for treatment of minor injuries.

The Red Cross registered one household of six adults for emergency assistance.
