Family and friends gathered Thursday for a vigil in Jackson as the search continues for a missing Rutgers student.

Morty Wortman, 22, is a senior at Rutgers and takes classes on the Cook-Douglass campus.

His car was found in the parking lot of the Regional Day School in Jackson about a week ago. Wortman was last seen in that area on the same night.

Since then, drones and canine units have been used in the search. Friends and family say they are worried someone did something to him.

The Ocean County prosecutor is leading the investigation.
