A four-alarm fire in Jersey City Saturday afternoon has displaced 11 people, officials told News 12.
The two single-family homes on Nunda Avenue sustained significant damage.
"The occupants were all evacuated safely from both buildings. We had one firefighter with burns to his hands and his face," said Jersey City Fire Department Chief Stephan Drennan. He added that the fire on the dead-end street and frigid temperatures presented challenges for the crews who battled the fire.
The Red Cross was helping the displaced residents as of Saturday evening.
