A NYPD sergeant was taken to the hospital for minor injuries after a shooting early Sunday morning in the Bronx, police say.
The incident happened in front of 1155 Morrison Avenue around 1 a.m.
Police say a person inside a red vehicle and a person standing outside of the building were firing shots at one another. Police say the sergeant then started to exchange fire at the individuals.
Police say the person in the car than drove away and the other person ran inside the building.
The red car was later found, but at this time no arrests have been made.
News 12 is told that the sergeant was not shot and is being treated at the hospital for tinnitus.
