NJ Transit CEO Kevin Corbett officially steps down from position

Kris Colluri, the former CEO of Gateway Development Commission will be taking Corbett’s place.

Kevin Corbett, the president and CEO of New Jersey Transit, has officially resigned from his position.

Corbett spent seven years as the head of NJ Transit. In a letter obtained by News 12 last month, Corbett explained that he accepted a new opportunity with a state university.

Kris Colluri, the former CEO of Gateway Development Commission will be taking Corbett’s place. Kolluri is known for overseeing the construction of the new Hudson Tunnel Project. He was nominated by Gov. Phil Murphy after Corbett announced his resignation last month.

Corbett’s resignation comes as commuters dealt with issues of delays and cancellations for several months last year.
