An Asbury Park man was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for a fatal shooting at a Toms River hookah lounge, Ocean County prosecutors said.
Eric Manzanares, 26, was sentenced Friday after previously pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault.
Authorities said Toms River police responded around 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 27, 2022, to Top Tier Hookah Lounge on Hooper Avenue for a report of gunfire.

Officers found three people with gunshot wounds. Nymere Tinsley was shot in the lower abdomen and taken to Community Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Two others were injured. Anthony Miller, 30, of Neptune Township, was shot in the stomach, while Jamal Bland, 26, of Asbury Park, was shot in the elbow. Both were treated and released from Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Investigators said Manzanares was responsible for shooting all three victims.
He was arrested on April 7, 2023, in Prince William County, Virginia, and was extradited to Ocean County on Jan. 24, 2024.
