Attorney General Matthew Platkin opened a formal civil rights investigation into Clark Township officials and police after allegations of discrimination.
The investigation comes after the release of a public misconduct report back in November.
Platkin recommended two Clark Police Department officials be fired, including the chief. This new investigation will look at those recommendations and if Clark is in violation of the New Jersey law against discrimination.
