New efforts are under way to secure Rockefller Lookout after the second death this summer to occur there.
Artem Adzhyev, 26, accidentally fell to his death at the overlook this weekend. The incident follows another accidental fall that claimed the life of John Granello, 16, in June.
Officials say there have been three accidental deaths in the park in the last 12 years.
The cliffs along the Palisades Interstate Park are often visited for its overlook of the Hudson River and New York City, but beyond the warnings signs and barricades, Rockefeller Lookout is a 400-foot vertical drop.
Englewood Cliffs Mayor Joe Parisi wants to have a discussion with other mayors and the Palisades Park Commission about what else can be done to prevent future incidents.
Some residents say that no matter how many warning signs and barricades are erected, people are still not respecting the danger the area presents.
