The implosion of the former Nabisco factory in Fair Lawn has been postponed due to delays in getting the rights to permits, according to the mayor. The demolition contractor is currently working with local and state agencies to fulfill all requirements, the mayor says.

Meanwhile, residents are concerned about potentially toxic dust during demolition and have called for more air, soil and water testing.

The implosion for the former Nabisco plant was originally set for April 15. There is no new date scheduled yet.
