The Nabisco bakery in Fair Lawn celebrated its 50th anniversary Saturday with a barbecue and, of course, cookies.
Dennis Grabowski, who works at Nabisco, brought his son Dennis to enjoy the fun - and Oreos. "What could be better than to come to a place where there's cookies and crackers?" asks Grabowski.
Besides the cookies, the best part for employee Joe Spezio was sharing the day with his six daughters. "We all spend most of our waking time at this facility, so when we get to share it with our families, it's a great experience," he says.
Even though Nabisco is now owned by Kraft, many people still refer to the historic Fair Lawn bakery as the "Nabisco" bakery - including those who work there.
