The MTA Board voted 12-1 to approve the new congestion pricing plan in Manhattan.
Driver will be charged $9 when entering the city below 60th Street. It’s scheduled to be implemented on Jan. 5.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a revised pricing plan last week during a news conference.
She said the money would go toward funding the MTA while reducing congestion and keeping millions of dollars in the pockets of commuters.
“We’re still getting the $15 billion to fund the MTA and drivers are paying $6 less,” said Hochul.
