Ramsey High School on Monday started their ban on students having cellphones in school.

More than 700 students had to lock up their cellphones, smart-watches and earbuds before class.

School officials said the ban resulted from the devices becoming distracting.

The Rasmey School District said it will be using a storage pouch system for the electronics. Students will have to place all the devices in a bag which is then sealed.

Students with medical conditions will get a Velcro bag for their devices.
