A former church official in Monmouth County has admitted to stealing more than $1.5 million from his parish.

Joseph Manzi, 78, was charged in October.

He served as chief operating officer for the Church of Saint Leo the Great in Lincroft.

He used the church’s business credit card to fund a lavish lifestyle, prosecutors said.

Investigators said the money was spent on a Cadillac SUV, luxury clothing and tickets to Yankees games.

Manzi faces up to five years in prison.

He must also pay more than $1 million back to the church.
