Police identify second victim killed in I-287 tanker fire

Firefighters from West Milford, along with surrounding towns and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, are battling a large fire on Weaver Road.

At midnight, Mayor Michele Dale said no homes were threatened but if there was danger, residents would be notified directly.

The West Milford Office of Emergency Management says Weaver Road will be closed between Macopin Road and Otterhole Road until further notice.

People are asked to avoid the area to allow emergency responders to work safely and efficiently.
