Newark police arrest suspect who used Google Translate in business robbery

This robbery took place on March 6 at a restaurant on Pacific Street.

Authorities say the suspect, Najee Bishop, walked into the business and showed one of the employees his cellphone, which had a Google Translate message stating that he had a gun and demanded all the shop’s money.

Surveillance footage captured a man walking into the restaurant and leaving with $550.

Bishop faces multiple charges that include robbery, terroristic threats and weapon-related charges.
