Police are responding to reports of a large crowd at Pier Village in Lon Branch.

Videos posted on social media show a large group of young people gathered at the location. Loud music could be heard in the background.

Sources tell News 12 that units from the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office are also responding.

New Jersey Transit says that the New Jersey Coast Line train #3276 from Long Branch to New York Penn Station is running 30 minutes late due to police activity in the area.

News 12 has previously reported on the so-called “pop-up” parties that have occurred at Pier Village, where hundreds of people arrive unannounced. Local officials have been working to stop these gatherings.
