A 73-year-old Paterson woman who was missing since Aug. 7 was found safe at a hospital in New York, according to her pastor.
Gloria Briggs is said to have some form of dementia and has no family in the area.
When she went missing, friends had said that she was seen entering her apartment building. But when officials reviewed security footage from outside the building, they never saw her exit.
Pastor Richard Campbell reached out to News 12 New Jersey in an effort to help find Briggs. Pastor Campbell says that the story that aired on News 12 led to a broader search.
Campbell says Briggs was located Wednesday morning and has returned home. She was not injured.
