Residents say MetroCard machines at one Bronx subway station are making their commute a challenge.
Riders say the machines at the 196th Street entrance to the Kingsbridge Road Station are not taking bills and are only offering single rides. This forces them to pay more than if they were able to put multiple rides on their card.
One resident told News 12 The Bronx that this issue has been going on for months, and has gotten worse since the station agent was removed from that part of the station.
The MTA says that if machines are not fully functioning, they will fix them. In the meantime, News 12 has learned that riders can walk down to the other part of the station, where there is an agent.
