A man accused of killing his girlfriend and dumping her dismembered body in New York was arraigned Wednesday.
Raphael Lolos is accused of killing 31-year-old Jennifer “Jenny” Londono on June 25 and dumping her remains in the Hudson River.
Londono, the owner of the Englewood night club Luna Lounge, was missing for two days before parts of her body washed up in Brooklyn and along the Hudson River. She was identified by a distinctive tattoo on her body.
Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Demetra Maurice says that something happened between the couple between June 13 and the day of her murder.
“[Lolos] did purposely and knowingly engage in a course of conduct that were directed at Jenny Londono, which would cause a reasonable person to fear for her safety or the safety of another,” Maurice said at the arraignment.
Prosecutors allege that after London’s murder, Lolos used her credit cards at convenience stores for sushi, wine and party items. He was arrested at a Linden motel July 6.
Lolos did not enter a plea at the arraignment. He is expected back in court Monday for a detention hearing.
