A malfunction Thursday at the Morris County School of Technology activated a panic button and sent the school into lockdown.
Officials responded to the school around 10:21 a.m. after the school was placed in lockdown due to a panic button activation.
Established protocols were followed and after a thorough check of the campus, it was established the panic button system had malfunctioned and there was no actual emergency.
All students and staff were unharmed. The school returned to normal school day activities once the lockdown was lifted.
