L'Oréal announced over the weekend that it will remove certain words, such as whitening and lightening, from its skin care products amid global protests following the death of George Floyd.

In a statement, the company says it “has decided to remove the words white/whitening, fair/fairness, light/lightening from all its skin evening products.”
Earlier this month, L'Oreal tweeted that it stands in solidarity with the Black community and against injustice of any kind.
