There are only two more weekends until Labor Day weekend.
News 12 New Jersey’s Kimberly Kravitz visited downtown Metuchen Thursday as residents head out early ahead of the weekend. She took a look back at some of the weather New Jersey saw in the last couple of months.
Looking back on this summer, it's been pretty mild. There weren’t too many days that reached 100 degrees. New Jersey saw one of the coolest Junes. In July, there were more than two weeks of 90-degree weather.
The state also had 13 tornadoes since February, spread from Gloucester to Hunterdon counties - tied for the second most on record. The tornadoes haven't seen many tropical systems. It's more of a result of local thunderstorms and a chance of severe weather almost every day.
