A Lakewood man has pleaded guilty to charges connected with a high-speed chase that left a police officer injured in April.

Authorities said 21-year-old Edwin Ramirez-Carranza was driving more than 100 mph, ran a red light and struck the officer’s police vehicle.

He could face up to five years in prison at next month’s sentencing.
