Goya Presents Flag Cities 2026, the premier FIFA World Cup fan festival series taking place in Northern New Jersey, is expanding with the addition of Newark and Jersey City as official host locations.
The series, which already includes Laurel Hill Park in Secaucus, East Rutherford, Rutherford and Overpeck Park in Bergen County, will bring live World Cup game broadcasts, international cuisine, live music and family-friendly activities to fans across the region.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Jersey City Mayor James Solomon said this is a great opportunity to showcase their cities to visitors from around the world.
"The whole world will be able to see Newark in its best form, we are excited about that, and restaurants, eateries, are supper excited," Baraka said.
The events will run from June 12 to June 26, starting in Jersey City, moving to Bergen County and then ending in the Rutherfords.
New Jersey Transit will serve as the official transportation partner, providing special programming and rider notifications to make it easy for fans to get to and from the events.
The festivals will take place just miles away from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, where matches will be played, giving local fans a chance to experience the excitement without leaving the region.
