It was a scary moment at the Sorrentino household.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino posted a video on social media showing the moment his family was eating dinner and his 2-year-old son, Romeo, began choking on his pasta.

He says his son hunched over and wasn’t breathing. Ring footage shows Sorrentino taking his son away from the table and patting on his back. His wife Lauren can be seen using what appears to be a suctioning device to help dislodge the trapped food. He says him and Lauren eventually dislodged the food that was blocking Romeo’s airway and saved his life.

Sorrentino wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that it was “the scariest moment of our lives.”

“I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful things worked out,” Sorrentino wrote on X. “it’s safe to say we are now taking CPR lessons.”
