A Florham Park police officer delivered a meal to the home of a "Jersey Shore" reality TV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi this weekend after the arrest of an Uber Eats driver.
Body camera footage shows Police Officer Alexander Tredy with the delivery bag in tow walking up to drop it off at her front porch.
It was earlier Saturday evening when another officer with the department was out on routine patrol when he initiated a traffic stop. A random license plate search revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant. Law enforcement said she fully cooperated with police.
Before she was arrested, she notified the officers on scene that she was in the process of delivering for Uber Eats when she got pulled over. Without hesitation, Tredy grabbed the bag of Mickey D's and finished the delivery.
When he knocked, Polizzi's husband, Jionni, answered the door. Tredy told News 12 that he wanted to make sure the order was right.
News 12 reached out to Polizzi's team for comment but had not heard back as of Sunday night. A News 12 crew also went to their home in Florham Park but no one answered the door.
Tredy said Polizzi's husband was certainly surprised to see a police officer and not an Uber Eats driver at his door. Tredy said her husband thanked him for going out of the way to make it happen.
Later on, the police department took to social media to apologize for the slow service and hoped that the food was not too cold.
Tredy told News 12 they cannot accept any tips as government officials.
