Jersey Shore residents were warned Friday to watch out for coastal flooding Friday night during high tide.
Manasquan police sent a warning to avoid parking in low-lying areas because their vehicles could be impacted by flooding.
The stormy weather did not keep people from coming to the Shore for the Memorial Day weekend holiday. Dozens of people lined up in rain ponchos outside of The Osprey more than two hours before the doors opened. There were also lines outside of Leggetts, another popular bar in town.
Earlier in the day, there were not many people out on Ocean Avenue in Belmar or on the boardwalk. But there were plenty of cars parking outside the summer beach house rentals.
The rain and cooler weather conditions are expected to last through Sunday.
