The town of Toms River is ready to fight for one of their own.
Six-year-old Sofia Colavito has been battling cancer for the last two years after being diagnosed when she was 4 years old. Colavito is keeping the disease at bay, but the battle is still ongoing.
To help her family with medical expenses, Toms River is hosting a craft and carry fundraiser on Wednesday at Battle River Brewing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Colavito’s family is also sponsoring a 5k run next month for the cancer center at Chop.
