Rider University has affiliated itself with the Grammy Museum - giving students who want to study music a chance to do it locally.

The Newark-based museum has been partnering with select schools to provide exclusive access to artifacts and guest speakers. Rider is one of only 23 schools in the U.S. to become affiliated.

Linda Critelli, a professor at Rider's Westminster College of the Arts, pushed for the partnership.
