It's not easy to get a piano onto a U.S. Navy submarine and it's only been done once.
One of New Jersey's most famous residents, Thomas Edison, had a submarine named after him. When the Thomas Edison was being built in 1960, the sub's captain wanted a full-size Steinway piano on board.
The piano was enjoyed by sailors for the 22 years that the Edison sailed the seas. It's now at the U.S. Navy Museum in Washington.
