Jersey Proud: Festival Mahogany music celebration held at Rutgers-Camden this weekend

The award-winning conductor Marlon Daniel will be leading the Symphony in C Orchestra.

A celebration of Black history and classical music begins Friday night on the Rutgers-Camden campus.
The event is known as Festival Mahogany. The award-winning conductor Marlon Daniel will be leading the Symphony in C Orchestra. This will be a showcase of some of the best African American classically trained musicians and singers.
There are four concerts this weekend – one on Friday night, two on Saturday and then a final one on Sunday at 2 p.m. It's all happening at the Gordon Theater on campus.
