It was a summer one Brookdale College student will never forget as he saw the country on a bicycle, riding coast to coast to honor a friend.
Nick Novotny left Oregon on June 25 and headed east, traveling between 60 to 120 miles a day.
Novotny was in the Marines and rode in honor of his best friend, Cpl. James Curry, who battled alcoholism and died in 2020.
On the ride, Novotny raised nearly $7,000 for mental health awareness for veterans.
Just a few days ago, Novotny arrived at Brigantine and the Atlantic Ocean after 77 days to ride about 4,000 miles.
