Jersey Proud: Baby bald eagle hatches at Hillsborough’s Duke Farms

There were 309 bald eagles born in New Jersey a year ago. The number is expected to increase this year.

Eaglet season is every year around March 1. From nearly extinct in New Jersey 40 years ago to today – there are now bald eagles in every county of the state.

A baby bald eagle hatched at Duke Farms in Hillsborough on Friday. Another one is expected to hatch soon.

There were 309 bald eagles born in New Jersey a year ago. The number is expected to increase this year.
