Veteran's Day is this Friday, and school children in Sussex County got to experience a unique opportunity ahead of it.
Students at Hampton Public School were allowed to ask questions of a man 90 years older than they were.
D-Day veteran Bob Gibson, 99, was the guest speaker at the school. He spoke with the third, fourth, and fifth graders about his service and his life.
A student at Hampton Public School himself in the 1930s, Gibson spoke about his life in the same classrooms where he sat as a child.
The Best Defense Fund set up the assembly, which made it possible for Gibson to return to France in June.
Bob Gibson continues to do Jersey Proud.
