Video from the
Dukes Farm Eagle Cam showed one eagle hatched on Feb. 27 while it was snowing, and another hatched on Feb. 28.
There was only one bald eagle nest in New Jersey in the 1970s as DDT was widely used in agriculture and wiped out the population.
Eventually, the federal government banned DDT and bald eagles have been coming back ever since.
Now there are at least 250 bald eagle nests in New Jersey, and 335 eaglets hatched in the state last year.
Hundreds of more bald eagles are expected for this year.
