A Jersey City man will spend some time in prison for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the United States Capitol.
Hector Vargas, 29, was sentenced to four months in prison. He was convicted in December on charges that include disorderly conduct. He must also pay more than $3,000 in fines.
Prosecutors say Vargas posted pictures and videos on social media from the Jan. 6 riot, including recording himself inside the Capitol Building on the day of the incident.
