Jersey City man sentenced to 17 years in prison for homicide

Tyquan Baisden pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in May.

A Jersey City man who strangled a woman nearly three years ago was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
Tyquan Baisden, 28, must serve 85% of the sentence under the No Early Release act for the death of 27-year-old Diamond Davila in October 2021, according to the Hudson County prosecutor.
Baisden pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in May.
