The first month of the year was pleasant and missed a few benchmarks. This month was drier, missing typical rain/snow totals over 9 inches combined. Central Park typically averages 8 inches of snowfall! We are thankful to end our snow drought, but it hardly made a dent.
Just the first 11 days of February will feature typical temperatures ranging from 38-42 degrees and less rain/snow amounts throughout the same period. From a seasonal perspective, February to April trend warmer than normal.
This could mean no more "snow days" for students!
