Hundreds came together in Manalapan to support a 6-year-old boy with muscular dystrophy.
More than 600 people gathered on Sunday to support James Raffone. James has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a genetic disorder that weakens the muscles over time.
In attendance at the fundraiser was the Manalapan High School football team, along with local police officers.
James' father, James Raffone Sr. also started a fundraiser called "Jar of Hope." So far, it has raised more than $70,000.
Raffone Sr. also invited an official from the Guinness Book of World Records to his son's fundraiser with the hope of breaking a World Record of the most people to do pushups at the same time.
"The record will have to wait until next year," he said. "They were four people short, but to some, that doesn't really matter," he said.
