Howell Township will open cooling centers Sunday for residents in need of relief from the expected heat wave.
The cooling centers are at Howell Police Athletic League at 115 Kent Rd., Howell Community Church at 1554 Maxim Southard Rd., and Ardena Baptist Church at 593 Adelphia Rd.
The three locations will open Sunday and remain open until Tuesday. They will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
