will take effect immediately, following a council meeting vote Wednesday night.
The ordinance will
enforce fines of up to $1,000 for large, indoor gatherings with more than 25
people that also violate other noise ordinances.
According to city health
officials, the coronavirus uptick partially stems from the indoor gatherings, including
two over the Halloween weekend.
